I have been really lucky to work in and around a lot of indigenous communities in Australia. This track features Veronica Welling from Jabiru in Kakadu (Northern Territory) singing the hook and Richard Green speaking in Dharrug, the language of Western Sydney. In my verse I'm trying to link the worlds that I live in, because, just as in indigenous communities elders are so important, the same goes for Hip Hop communities. I came up in the second wave of Sydney Hip Hop looking up to Brethren, Industrial Dispute, Sleeping Monk, Fonke Knomaads and Def Wish Cast and without those pioneers, I wouldn't be here, give thanks!
